About The Shoulder Project
The Shoulder Project, is a project initiated by Siridhamma College Model United Nations Club as a part of their ambassador project of SLMUN's 17th session. It is a trilingual website developed with the help of Siridhamma College's student community and raises awareness about two of the main problems faced by Sri Lankan Youth at the moment; Drug Addiction and Mental Health Issues, offering help and knowledge to students, parents and teachers. The website contains information gathered from various trusted sources on these two issues as well as help and advice gathered from field experts. Unlike any other website, The Shoulder Project's information on Mental Health issues include tips and advice gathered from the school's student community regarding some of the most common issues they face as students and how they cope with them. To give a more personalized experience, the website also features a personal assistant which can help the students get personalized tips to improve their Mental Health based on the situation.
About Siridhamma College
Hailing from Galle, Sri Lanka, Siridhamma College is one of the premiere mixed schools in the Southern Province, built by late Dr. Richard Pathirana in 1995. It is one of the few schools in the country which provide a bilingual education from grade 1 through 11. Siridhamma College fosters more than 3500 of the country's future generation, gaining both national and international recognition in academic and extra curricular achievements. The college continues to nurture the principles of quality education in a green environment to create a sustainable future.
About the Siridhamma College Model United Nations Club
Siridhamma College MUN Club or better known by its abbreviation SDCG MUNC, is the caretaker of all MUN activities at Siridhamma College, grooming the future diplomats of the country while expanding the horizons of learning using dynamic teaching methods and innovative activities to fulfill the target of ensuring free and quality education. Their contribuition doesn't stop there as they provide help to establish a sustainable society through their annual community projects and green environment initiatives. SDCG MUNC is also the proud presenters of the first and only MUN camp in Southern Province; ''Ideation'' and the bilingual MUN resource hub; SDCG MUNC Digital Library.

Created by students for students, The Shoulder Project features a range of trilingual articles addressing some of the common issues faced by students using the data obtained from the Siridhamma College's Student Community and also a personalized calculator to give you personalized tips and information based on your current situation. Not only that, the website also offers you the ability to directly contact a medical practitioner anonymously if you need any professional help. Together, let's create a community where every student has a shoulder to lean on and a voice that is heard. Remember, you are not alone, and help is always available.
